About us
Yu Vinil / Yu Vinyl website deals with the sale of all kinds of records from the countries of former Yugoslavia (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia and the present day Yugoslavia i.e. Serbia and Montenegro). About a dozen record compaines (the major ones being Jugoton from the Zagreb and Belgrade's RTB plus many smaller RTVLJ. Suzy, Diskos, Diskoton, Helidon, Jugodisk, Beograd Disk, Sarajevo Disk ) published tens of thousands of records during for decades ( from 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, to the mid 90's). Those 7", 10" 12", EP, MLP, LP 's contains all generes of music from various artists from Ex Yu as well as from all around the world. It is our aim to make all these titles available to all the fans of Yu music and collectors of Yu editions of foreign performes ( Rollingstones, Beatles, Queen, Elvis Presley...).

At present, all the records are divided into three cathegories: Yu music, Yu editions and Foreign editions. This is a rough and temporary division, and we wish to subdivide each of these cathegories further (pop, rock, rock'n'roll, hard rock, new wave, punk, metal, progressive rock, blues, jazz, folk, classic...) which should enable an eaiser and quicker use of this site. About records

Even though the record compaines in former Yu published a great number of very interesting in a very limited number of copies (1000-5000), and though number of records were destroyed in a couple of wars this region saw in the 90's, a lot of very interesting can still be found. One possible problem might be the condition of records and covers, as due to the bad quality of making records, records do not have sound equally good as it is with British, German, French, Italian or US editions this imperfection can partially be compensated by comparatively low prices of records in these parts of Europe
